Oxford Archaeology has been commissioned by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Ireland, to undertake a conservation study of the archaeological complex at Rathcroghan, County Roscommon. The study will identify the values or significance of the complex and help to develop a set of policies or strategies to protect its heritage.
On this project OA is working in partnership with ADAS who are studying the ecological and landscape values of the study area for the conservation plan.
A consultation draft document will be available for viewing in October 2006 and the final version published in December 2006.
